    Hi Hoping,
I've taught 1/2 and now 3/4 multi age and it's great. But it's not as some of the other responders mentioned...we don't segregate the youngers from the olders in any subject area. The curriculum is based upon a continuum of learning and the children are continually assessed as to their current strengths and needs. Some areas are covered whole group while the majority of mini lessons are done in small dynamic groups, meaning they change often.
Kentucky is one state that I've heard is completely MA from K-3. There have been books written on the subject and lots on differentiated curriculum (meeting the needs of all learners within the learning community). If you need help, just ask. ;-D
