As a teacher (who admittedly doesn't have children of my own yet), I appreciate parents who review papers with their students and analyze what went wrong. HOWEVER, I am far more appreciative of parents who say things like, "See, you shouldn't have left that one blank. That's why you got a B." I am offended by parents who approach me about grades (and usually, like your daughter's, fairly good ones) and have a sort of unspoken message that my grading system is wrong. To be honest, I think your daughter should have asked the teacher for permission to leave the questions blank BEFORE turning it in. Besides, if your daughter is a good student, the average of this 86% with grades from other assignments/tests will probably end up to be an A in the class.
