You may have already solved your problem, but one thing I do that works well is recipes for peace. Brainstorm amount words, such as tbsp, cup, truckload, pinch, dash, etc. Then have students prioritize things that help make the world peaceful, ie:tolerance, patience, understanding, laughter, etc. Have students create a "recipe" using the ingredients, then have them write up a method. (Combine kindness with tolerance and mix in understanding, etc.) Students can post these on a bulletin board or share them at an assembly. (An alternative is to do a class recipe instead!) Good lucK!
