"my voice"
By Brooke

Clip to ScrapBook
I have seen teachers often use the following method to gain the attention of the students. I have seen it used in grades K-5. The teacher will clap a rhythm and the students will follow. The students know this is a cue to be quiet and pay attention. I saw it done today with a room of 150 first graders. After it was done, the room was silent and all eyes were facing forward. It is also fun to change up the pattern of clap sometimes.
