I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN!!!

Clip to ScrapBook
When I was reading this post I thought I had written it. I am in the same position!!! Well, not exactly the same but close enough! I was hired in October last year to take over a KG class and the teacher that was in there
was put in pre-k to team teach because she was not doing her job in KG. Then over the summer they told me she was going to be team teaching with me and that I was basically going to be her "mentor". This person has her masters in ECE and has no idea how to write lesson plans, talk to the children, etc. She has even told me on numerous occassions that she knows that the classroom is not
the right place for her. I so want to tell her to leave then!

This is my second year teaching and I have to completely write my own curriculum so I am stressed and spend SO much time on the internet looking for lessons. I also feel like I spend much valuable time helping her when I could be doing what I need to be doing and spending more time focusing on what I'm doing for the children in my class.

My team "teacher" is also very immature and she is 2 years older than me! She's always talking to me, the other teahcers, and even the kids about her personal life. She's in love with this guy who has no interest in her, and then the next week it's a new guy. She even has the kids talking about these guys and has them asking the "cute firefighters" if they are married when they came to our school.!

Anyway, enough babbling... I completely sympathize with your situation!!!
