I also want to recommend a book I used when my daughter was 5 or 6.When she completed the book she was reading on a second grade level.It works for most kids that way.The book is called,"Teach Your Child To Read In 100 Easy Lessons."It's about $15-$20 and it's worth it.Hope it helps.
