Many teachers in districts throughout Ma. use a system of process writing developed by John Collins. It is an excellent teacher friendly program utilized by my district in K.- H.S. It identifies five types of writing with specific areas of instruction and corrections. For new teachers of writing and/or subject driven teachers this is worth investigating further.
