Clip to ScrapBook
On the last day before winter break I have drawings for door prizes. I usually give worksheets, games, etc. dealing with the holidays. For each one completed the student's name goes into a drawing. Thus the more work completed
the better chance they will have to win a door prize. Also I set the timer and if they are on-task when it goes off then their name goes into a drawing. I pick a variety of prizes from dollar stores (key chains, rubber stamps, stickers, etc. and items such as homework passes, sitting in the teacher's chair, free snack, etc. Some items are gender specific such as shower gel for
the girls thus I separate the boys' and girls' names. Then their chances of winning are even better. I just completed a similar drawing for Halloween and it really helped with keeping the student's behavior under control.
