I know exactly how you feel. I am a new techer and I have an aide who has been there for a long time. She thinks I am anadequate and doesnt care about telling me so. If its not one thing thats wrong, its another. My aide| also talks to the parents when they come in the room, and sends them notes that I never see, who knows what they say. She also pulls students from the lesson to talk to them about homework. I know there are wonderful teacher aides out there, and when there is a good match between teacher and side, the classroom can be an awesome place. But when that chemistry is way off, its almost better | |
not to have thme in there. Whats better, a teacher who feels like they need to becareful around the aide (as I do), or a techer who can feel free in her classroom. Right now I feel like a prisoner.
