Mountains out of molehills
By m

Clip to ScrapBook
I don't think so!!! People are really making mountains out of molehills here! Eric is a substitute teacher working on an emergency credential trying to learn the ropes. He doesn't "bash" his principals, complain about having
to float from room to room, calling students inappropriate names, etc. He is merely expressing his frustrations with his daily interactions in the classroom. Jay frequently posted comments that clearly indicated he didn't want advice. His responses to advice were questioned or ignored, with post after post it was clear things got worse. I really think Eric is just an eager beginner who
needs to gain some experience. He doesn't ignore advice, use inappropriate language in reference to students, administrators, or colleagues, etc. His biggest fault seems to be his overeagerness to "do it all" at once. Perhaps he feels this board is his only way to get assistance and advice. He does not have a support system in place in any of the schools he works at yet. In my opinion, comparing him to Jay is a bit of a stretch.
