Autistic Child with Sensory issues.
By HF

Clip to ScrapBook
We helped one of our students make the transition from shorts to long pants by having him wear the shorts under a pair of warm up pants. His mom also purchased a pair of sweat pants that had the zipper around the knee, so if he did begin to have a melt down, we were able to unzip the pant legs and he would have shorts instantly. We also allowed the child to wear slippers with a hard bottom instead of sneakers (as part of his reward system).
