Honestly

I don't believe in taking away recess or giving detention. I don't do it to my students. I am not a parent, but I already know that when I am I will not allow teachers to take recess away from my child or give them detention. I don't think it solves the problem. It serves as a punishment but typically does nothing more than that. It gets the child nowhere.
