Teens
By GC

Clip to ScrapBook
Just saw an amazing experiment to show how teens are the worst age group at interpreting facial expressions. A family of ten children were shown a series of pictures of people showing anger, sadness, fear and happiness. The pictures seemed really obvious to me, however, the teens took a much longer time to work out the expression and sometimes got it wrong. The eight year old in the family was fastest and 100% accurate. This may or may not have something to do with how these kids get on. Apparently it is something to do with the brain growing really fast at this age. It might help us though. No point in just looking sad, disappointed or angry and expecting teens to know what is wrong.
