1. My husband was stationed somewhere in the military where I could not find a job in my first field, so I went back to school for teaching.

5. philosophy of education, all core subject areas classes, many reading classes, computer classes ... etc.
6. yes, my bachelors was in communications, my masters got me my teaching credentials
7. love of kids and working with/helping them; plus the fact that I knew I would be able to find a job...

seeing one of my ESOL kids suddenly 'get' reading!

12.2nd grade, all subjects
13. organization, patience, TIME MANAGEMENT!
14. 4th grade, even though I didnt go into it as a first choice
15. read childrens books, as many as possible, it will help you teach ANYTHING! good luck
