I'm sorry to say...
By Bren

Clip to ScrapBook
It was rather frustrating. It was my first time in a high school level ES classroom at a home for youth. There was a 4 class rotation that went from 12-14 year olds who were restricted from all privileges due to stealing from the teacher to a class of 14-17 year olds who came in with almost as much candy as attitude (including the girl who threw a fit when I asked her to remove her pacifier from her mouth because "none of the other teachers make me!"--this was not a costume, but a baby pacifier she wears on a necklace).

I had actually hoped several weeks ago to get to sub at the elementary level today just to see the kids all dolled up. I would have put up with the stress and chaos for a 10 minute costume parade.

Ah, well...all days can't be good days.
