Too bad smoking isn't outlawed in your school. It is in mine...no smoking in school or on school grounds...that sure would make your job simpler...shouldn't he only be smoking at a designated break time? Like recess or
lunch? not other times?

Is he following the IEP? I'd use the IEP as my guide and show him it says this must be done x amount of times each day....and then have him document that he has done it.

Last year I had a child who needed his heal cords stretched 3 xs a day and placed in his stander 2 x's a day. I had my aide docoment the time he was stretched note if there was any discomfort

and any remarks the child made either good bad or neutral. I also marked what time placed in stander and what time removed and again any noted discomfort or comments from the child. I figured it was required to document as such in case the parents question if the services are being done.

I'd ignore the feeding of the child comment...he is not in charge here...however, if all this continues you'll have to say something.

It's too bad he's such a grump I know one bad aide can really affect the whole program.
