Polly Horvath has done a couple of great books I'd highly recommend, The Trolls and Everything On a Waffle. Kenneth Oppel has a fantastic animal-fantasy series starting with Silverwing. Highly recommended! Kit Pearson is a very popular Can. author and suggest checking out her war trilogy starting with The Sky is Falling. Awake and Dreaming and A Handful of Time are also popular. Barbara Smucker has done many historical type novels, Underground to Canada and Days of Terror are used in schools. Brian Doyle, Karleen Bradford, Gillan Chan, Monica Hughes and John Wilson are also worth checking out. Tammy
