Book Reports
By Rebecca

Clip to ScrapBook
OH MY GOSH!!! These parents just kill me. First of all I would try to explain that this helps their child use their "higher level" thinking. I mean, anybody can tell about a story but to actually have to think about what the characters might look like from what they've read (the puppets) and so on. If this doesn't work I would just explain to the parents that it is an assignment and their child MUST turn it in just like everyone else. As a parent, I would be thrilled that a teacher was trying to get my child to do something "creative" and not just write about a book. And, as a teacher, I might just use that idea. :-) Rebecca
