I agree with sj 100%. I have never seen anyone treat subs the way they are claiming to be treated. I think they are being a little overly sensitive. As for the "who are you today?" comment. I have asked subs that myself. I did not mean it at all as a put down, I was just trying to be friendly instead of just asking "who are you subbing for today?" Being a relatively new teacher I can tell you that I am treated much the same way Heather and Patricia claim that subs are treated. No one really values my opinion either. It just goes with the territory. You're a new face. It takes some time to fit in. It's not some sub conspiracy thing.
