What specifically...

...are the concepts that are causing difficulty? In general, I have found GAMES and ART to be a very effective strategies for learning.

For example, my 4th graders grasped coordinates quickly when we created figures
on graph paper. They especially liked it when I projected the "guess the shape, animal, etc." coordinate activity on the white board. Students would come up individually to plot the coordinates (everyone had their own sheet to work on, too). A modified game of Battleship is also great!

They also learned their angles and lines vocab. easily when they had to create something out of the

different angles, lines, and shapes and give it a name. For example, Perpendicular Pete was a favorite We then had a beautiful "gallery" of geometric art whereby the kids had to create a scene using the different angles, lines, and shapes.

Sharing these with the class was probably the most important part of the process of learning

Also, there is a lot of art projects you can do with area, perimeter, diameter, radius....

Using manipulatives are a very important part of learning geometry, so I hope your class is well stocked with these!
