HI,

This is my third year teaching. I need to get off the computer soon, but I thought I would leave you with a couple pieces of advice.

First, teaching is a lot more than I expected, so expect more than they teach
you in college.
Second, the first year is the toughest. I suggest, if it is hard, to go onto your second year no matter what. I almost quit after my 1st, but am glad, now ,I stuck with it, because I LOVE it
Third, find one or two teachers that you can really trust and go to them for advice and help. I have a teacher that I depended on that was wonderful. Without her, it would have

been so much harder.

Lastly, Read Harry Wong "First days of teaching"

Good LUck! You will love the kids and will love the teaching part, but may dislike some of the other things. Just know, that all teachers are in the same boat, so find a few that will help you through it. You will do great! Remember everyone has to start with a first year, and everyone gets through. You will too
