I agree with a lot of points that the above poster stated. I think a designer should keep in mind that it is a "home away from home" so to speak, so it should be a comfortable place to spend time. Once idea that comes to
mind is that we teachers usually have so much to hang in the room. Aside from my bulletin boards I have charts and posters and student work and signs, etc. A problem with this is finding what to use to make them stick to the walls and stay up. Now, this may just be a problem in humid Florida, I don't know if others have this issue. Another problem is that "sticky tac" tends to take
little chunks out of the wall when you take things down. Anyhow, I would love if most of the walls were covered with a corkboard like finish (in a normal paint color) so that things would never fall or ruin the walls. I think you have a neat and worthwhile project. Good luck with it!
