Transitions
By Mary A.

Clip to ScrapBook
I have found that keeping a daily routine is very important for transitioning. After some time of training, they know what to do and what is expected of them. This doesn't mean that K has to become mundane and boring, but keeping the schedule the same does help. Also, I use a timer to help keep myself and my students on track. When the timer goes off, my students stop what they are doing and put their hands on their heads and look at me. Then they are ready to hear what I have to tell them. I also use the bell to gain their attention during other transitional times. Hope this helps and good luck .
