OREO
By Lori

Clip to ScrapBook
I use the OREO acronym to intro persuasive writing...O-Opinion,R-reasons,E-explanations to support reasons,O-opinion restated. I usually bring in cookies;we talk about how the good stuff is in the middle and that when writing it's important to include lots of reasons and explanations. The kids get a kick out of it and they can remember and check off the OREO acronym on their sloppy copies. Hope this helps!
