Hi Pat#2 and other grade 2 teachers...Maybe there WAS something in the water....I guess my class of grade 2'ers has been 'loopy' since day 1 in kindergarten. Our school counselor is coming in once a week to teach a social skills curriculum and although it does not generalize into every day life like magic as I have hoped it does seem to help a little. She uses the "Skillstreaming" program. Its easy to do yourself if your counselor doesn't do this type of thing.
