graph your candy
By Rebecca

Clip to ScrapBook
I give my third graders a bag of treats. I get a variety of candy and the students get a different amount of each type than their "neighbor"(ex. Mary might get 12 m-n-m's, 10 candy corn, 3 lollipops and 7 gumdrops; where Jami might get 10 m-n-m's, 13 candy corn, 4 lollipops, and 4 gumdrops--usually I have more of a variety than in this example.) They have to graph(on a sheet I have copied) the candy that is in their bag. Then they might get with a partner and compare the candy.

Hope this works for you.
