Good to hear from you! I, too, have been trying to get some reading assessment finished before conferences. We have both the Intermediate and the K-3 DRA kits. I've been doing my beginning of the year tests using the K-3kit since it goes up to the 5th grade level (44). It seems to be ok for my students (many are low readers), but I know I'll need to reassess using the higher levels probably midyear. This is my first experience with DRA's AND running records and the more I do, the better I get! It's time consuming, and I can only get to one a day while others are doing IR. I really think it's a good tool, though. I'd be interested to hear how the Intermediate kit is administered. Also, it will certainly be interesting to see how your DRA scores match up with your Standfords. Please be sure to share!Take care, Debbie
