If they earn it and the teacher has tried intervention, then put it on the report card. Students need to understand that they are being held accountable. Too many parents want us to make them feel good. Feeling good comes when they try hard, do their best, and always strive for improvement. Sending them out into the work force thinking they can expect a good paying job without earning it is letting them down.
