I can't believe that your principal hasn't done anything about it. Perhaps the teacher has been written up, but it's a private matter?

I hope that someone speaks up for the rights of the children. All children (especially those who push your buttons or are hit at home) need to see appropriate responses to anger and frustration. It's too bad that this teacher lost composure.
