I have had that happen too. I try not to yell at classes if I can manage in a more positive way. I had this happen with a class that I was warned would be one of the toughest classes in the building. I know that the regular teacher yelled quite a bit. I could hear down the hall. I took a calmer approach with them (they were third graders) and had a great experience with them. I had the same thing happen just yesterday with a younger group. Sometimes students will tell me that the teacher yells at them.
