It sounds like his school behavior reflects his situation at home. Could you work out a positive reward system with him? What are his interests? Would he feel better about himself if he had a particular job in the classroom? If he can control himself during the day, reward him. Whenever he is doing something right, call him on it and give him lots of praise. If he is a ticking time-bomb, definitely seat him by himself until he can control his anger. However, I had a kid like this last year (ROTTEN home life). When I began to praise him for even the little things, he began to feel better about himself and became a better classmate to others.
