Never too much

Being prepared is never too much. I once knew this sub who carried one of those rolling suitcases behind her everywhere she went. It was full of those living books, and other things that she could use in any grade level. Unfortunatlly, she retired after 25 years of subbing! I love her dearly. She used to tell me on those stressed out days, "Dear, Thank God that you aren't in that class all day/everyday, think of how you would feel then" I know it doesn't make too much sense, but even her stupidest sayings, always made me feel better. Always have backup materials! There are some teachers out there that do leave awful lesson plans, ..... and they say that us subs are incompetent!!!!!
