I actually overheard a conversation sort of like that today!

Clip to ScrapBook
Because I am PTA President at my kids school (where I also sub) I overhear many conversations etc. no one else would be privy to. A group of teachers in the staff room who have been observing kids were sharing their observations
on some of the subs since there were many in the building today. They were actually being very kind and just sort of talking but I sort of interupted them with "Oh, no! Does this mean you talk about me too?" We all laughed and one who has never been in a classroom with me mentioned how I use SALAMI as my get attention word. (I learned that here - short for "stop and look at me"!)
Obviously my name has come up.

I think it's somewhat natural that people compare some notes - especially if there's something positive to learn or something different that the person does. Although I would hope that just plain gossip would get left at home, I think that many teachers do care how the day is going in their co-worker's classes.
