compound words
By Diana

Clip to ScrapBook
This is rather simple but I took several compound words out of the book, A tree is nice, along with several other words. I wrote them on sentence strips and cut them out. After explaining what a compound word is we seperated the words into two groups, compound words and non-compound words. We put them into a pocket chart. Then I had students buddy read the book together but you could read it out loud to them. You could also have them look through books to find compound words. Good luck.
