centers

Clip to ScrapBook
I use centers, but guided reading is not a center. My students go to one center each day. My groups are hetergeneously grouped by ability. Each center has multiple activities to be done. When I am ready to read with a guided reading group, I get those students. They leave their center, read with me and than return to their center when we are finished reading. This way I get to read with four out of my five groups a day. I read with my most needy groups every day and my higher readers every second or third day.
