A couple of ideas
By Liz

Clip to ScrapBook
I recently went to a yard sale and purchased 16 copies of Bridge to Terabithia for only $0.50 a copy! I doubt they were used more than once. The lady was a former teacher.

I also find a lot of good, used books for my
class library at flea markets. Always be on the look-out and you will eventually accumulate the books you need. Until then, beg, borrow and steal from other teachers! At my school I get at least one email a week from other grade levels looking for specific books.

Also, one of our Title I teachers is in the process of collecting all book sets (and big books) from individual teachers

and creating a library system for check out. The library will record the individual teacher's name so that books can eventually be returned to them or, if personal property, taken when they leave.
