Chatty
By Mary Kaye

Clip to ScrapBook
I am a veteran teacher, and have had many classes that are chatty. I have used alot of things over the years: cheer charts-they get a sticker for good behavior(I catch them being good and give it to them to put on their chart) and when they fill up the chart-they get in the treasure chest; stickers for those being good-start handing out stickers or skittles etc and watch the rest start straightening up. Also keeping them busy keeps them from having time to talk-the dramatic reading during story time helps also. Good luck-don't give up you will find what works.
