This is my second year of teaching first grade. I have read F.P. and really am trying to structure my classroom this way. I am having a lot of trouble figuring out the level of each student. The main problem is time. We have to do Saxon Phonics which takes 45 min. to an hour each day. I am required to use our basal. I really want to do this but I can't quite get it into place. I am not sure what to do. I am really feeling frustrated. Can you give me any direction?? I would really appreciate any help.
