reversals

I teach second grade and have a trick to help students with reversals of b and d. I tell them to make a b with their left hand and a d with their right hand. (touching their pointer finger to their thumb...sort of looks like and okay sign with both hands.)They then put their hands together to make a bed. They then can spell out the word bed remembering the b faces the right and the d faces the left. Hope this helps!
