Cursive

We were told that in middle school in our district that cursive is not required or enforced. After being enlightened about this, it kind of teed some of the elementary teachers off because we spend so much time practicing/teaching/enforcing the concept of writing in cursive. Needless to say, I'm tired of beating my head against the wall. My students have the option (4th grade) of if they want to use it. There are some things throughout the year that I require using cursive on.
