My daughter has attened the school where I teach since 1st grade (which she attended twice). I think it's important to set limits with the other teachers/staff in contact with your child. tell them (nicely) that you want
to be treated like any other parent, and they can send you a note or conference about issues. explain that you don't want to hear every detail of your child's daily behavior, and unless there is a chronic or serious issue, please just deal with it.

I think that some teachers feel that since you are there, you want to discipline your child. I personally don't. I think it's important to

just be mom and not have to always be the "bad guy" with my child. I have also had a teacher that had no patience for my daughter who has ADD. the teacher told me that she thinks my daughter is just being lazy! Would she say that to any parent?
Good Luck!
