Oregon Columbus Day

As Mrs. C said, there was no school Friday because it was State Wide Professional Day, but I did want to add that Friday was an unpaid day. Is Columbus Day a paid holiday for those that have it off? We get MLK day and Veteran's Day off though. Amazing how many teachers were at school on Friday! Mrs. C, do you know if Friday used to be a paid day? Seems like once upon a time (10 years ago or so), teachers were required to go to an inservice or be at school that day. I can remember having to account for how I spent that day.
