I would also have left a note for the teacher regarding the many unscheduled departures. Maybe it's something she just didn't think was necessary to write down as the kids were old enough to mind their own schedules. This way it would be a gentle reminder that subs would appreciate the information in the future.

DID any resource room people come & fetch kids, or were they just trying to take advantage ofthe situation?
