no time for cursive lessons
By Deb

Clip to ScrapBook
Carolyn is exactly right about why cursive isn't taught anymore in 4th. I find that's why I raise my orignial concern--if the kids don't use it they lose it. I teach fourth with only a few hours a day on hand. Several kids get resource help outside the room for 3 hours a week and we have extras for four hours a week. Our teaching time is getting shorter and shorter but the demands are increasing rapidly. I know that I feel the pressure mounting to use our time wisely as we prepare for state testing this spring.
