I think what I really dislike about First grade, is that the kids are so fun, and you want to be able to do the type of things you can do in Kindergarten, more of the fun things that the kids like, but there is so many new ideas that need to be covered you realyl need to try and get them academically focused. So i am having trouble finding the right blend between academics and fun school stuff. Plus its a lot of pressure for a new teacher to be responsible to make sure they can read well.
