crying
By Pat

Clip to ScrapBook
I think by October their crying days would be over! I've had 'em cry but mainly in the first days of school when they're just exhausted. The only thing I can think of is that it may be hard for you to adjust to the comparatively
slow pace of 7 and 8 year olds to complete tasks that we think should be a snap for them. Some of them might be VERY frustrated. I switched from 3rd to 2nd 9 years ago and it was even a big change then. Maybe some of them need adjusted work. I'd check with the other grade 2 teachers and see what their expectations are for daily work.
If it makes you feel any better - Ive been
in grade 2 fo awhile and this is the first year I really dread going in each morning. By October most classes have settled in to routines and know expectations etc. My class is behaving like its thier first days in school~ ever! I am not a happy teacher this year. So I'm not much help but I can sympathize!
