Switching grades

I've never heard of teachers switching grades in the middle of the year, but I do know that teaching first grade does take a very special type of person. It certainly isn't a job that everyone would be attracted to.

It's an unfortunate situation to be mismatched. Unfortunate for you--and especially unfortunate for those little first graders to have a teacher who isn't enjoying them.

Am not sure what to tell you except to "bite the bullet," get all the help you can, and do the best job you can for these little ones. First grade is a critical age and they need to get off to a good start.
