spelling woes

Sometimes at the beginning of the year we make a list of words that students find difficult to spell or I know are commonly misspelled words and just hang them on the wall for a reference point. You could also have them make a list of ones they commonly misspell and keep it in their writing journal or daily planner or wherever it could be easily found.
