I teach in an inner city school (Chicago) and I have 28 second graders and no aide. (I came from California where you could not go past 20 and I had an aide). I am just struggling with this class number. I have not been able to do any reading groups because of discipline issues. The students who are not reading are going to be in trouble. No wonder the test scores at my school are low!
