brochure

Clip to ScrapBook
We've done brochures before, and they can be pretty cool. We've used tag board, but you'll probably want something smaller since it's for a portfolio :o) What we did was tri-fold the paper so it looked more brochure-like
and then on the front we drew/copied a map of OR. Then wrote the name. We chose different aspects of OR and had the kids choose one for each of the 4 folded areas. The kids then wrote paragraphs (from information we had on our state) about the aspects they choose, and glued these on the paper. We typed ours and cut and pasted them. We did different counties, entertainment, climate,
geography, populations, state motto, bird, etc., state capital. We also used LOTS of pictures to illustrate. (You acan get info and pictures from your tourist info. place on the web.)

Good luck!
